Subject: Necron Phase Out Question???????

I know what the phase out rule is as most people do or should. But what I'm wondering is ok say your phase out of is 7. Your turn comes up and you only have 3 necrons standing on the field out of a 13 man squad and when you roll your WBB's you get 3 out of the 10 that had fallen and were allowed the WBB save. Now is where you should phase out. But ok so you failed a lot of those. After you fail those and let's say you have a monolith in play and is 18'' away. can you use the monolith to telep. and get the extra WBB rolls to try and not phase out or are you just S.O.L.? O yeah let's also say that the one's you are trying to telep. through the monolith are in the same group so you can get them all so as not to confuse anyone me mostly haha.

Well, that took me a while to decipher...
No, you can't do that. And Phasing Out is a board-wide thing, not something individual squads do. Your army drops to 25% or less and you lose automatically.
|
People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

I was know that it's about the whole army and not just a single unit. I'm asking this as if they are the last stand for the army that battle that is. Also when you go to below 25% you still get to do your WBB rolls the next Necron turn that is. I was just asking about the monolith part because it's a special thing that it can do and was wondering if that was something that could be done.

If your army drops below 25%, you still get your WBBs. They're not dead until they fail their WBB.
If your monolith is in range and you can get a second WBB, and it happens at the start of your turn, then you should get both WBBs before you check for phase out.

You only check for phase out after ALL WBB have been resolved, both the first attempt and any monolith re-rolls.
If after all that you are under 25% then you phase out

I try not to be rude, but man, you have GOT to stop building army lists during English class.

No. Phase out is checked after the WBB rolls, but before the monolith.
2 reasons
1) it is done at the beginning of the turn, the monolith can teleport as late as the end of the phase.
2) It says you check after the WBB rolls, not the WBB re-rolls.

I have to agree. With all due respect, I had to bust out the 'ol decoder ring to even read the original post. Good thing I keep it handy.

Sadly a large portion of your Signature is cut off by Dakka's Sig limit (at least it is on 1440*900, not sure about other resolutions) Though the relevant part is visible.
