The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.
Killing Orks that don't fight back is going to get boring quick. Watch closely, this game ha Dynasty Warriors syndrome. The mobs run at you pretty viciously, and then stop and stand there to wait for the Marines to hit them. I hated that in Dynasty Warriors and I probably won't like it here.
Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus
The first video of this game that was shown a long time back looked OK. The trailer we got a week or so back looked good and this looks fun as hell. I really don't care if it's just straight hack and slash. I'm getting it for sure.
You can never beat your first time. The second generation is shinier, stronger, faster and superior in every regard save one, and it's an unfair criticism to level, but it simply can't be as original. - Andy Chambers, on the evolution of Games Workshop games
Don't start judging it now. It's not even in the beta testing stages yet.
People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.
sorry for previous ciomment dididn't watxch it and was drunk...

Looked kinda like a Squigoth to me, makes more sense too since it is a SM vs Ork trailer.
I thought so too, but when I watched it again, what looked like squiggoth tusks looked more like the fex scything talons.
And I didn't see anything that looked like the howdah on top.
If they ever release this whole vid in hd, maybe we can tell for sure.
Either way, I am interested.
I notice a lot of the comments on this game are about how it needs to have all the races, and all the units.
But that isn't how games(non-RPG), especially on consoles, are done.
Look at most games, you get one character for the entire thing.
And usually you fight one enemy in various forms, or an alliance of some type, but still mostly grunts.
This being an action hack'n'slash looking game, I do not expect more than Orks, but a surprise throw in of a Lictor or Carni would be cool.
And if you can choose other Chapters it will most likely be a skin and no other Chapter-specific stuff than that.

I'm really hoping the focus on the four marines means four player co-op. They said there was going to be multiplayer, so here's hoping that's what they meant.
Today I didn't even have to use my hot-shot las; I gotta say it was a good day.
It is a Carnifex. Full screen it, I thought it was a squiggoth too until you see it when it dies. It flops over and a tail with a barb at the end flicks up and its painfully obvious that there a scything talons on it.
He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster and if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you

I know , i hated it too Quick tip : Adjust the difficultie(sp?) to the highest It will give you this result : The guys will attack you but the bosses are gonna be a gakload of dodo to take care of
Also to the OP :
Nice vid , i cant wait too get this game , couse im going to
Not commenting on what I see in the trailer that I don't like, of GAMEPLAY no less, is patently unhelpful to anyone. Game designers rely on constructive criticism to make a good product, and often are vehemently decried for missing things that reviewers consider"no brainers". I'm not egotistic enough to say that I expect them to read my criticism, but I will put it out there. If it gains traction and makes it's way to the developers, I've done my part to help.
It will probably follow the DOW story arc formula, and given that I hate repeats and re-hashes, that would turn me off slightly.

It's probably just for this build of the game where they wanted to make the player look as badass as possible. If the video was just the player getting beaten to death, I doubt it would look very compelling.

Not sure where I heard it from, but I'm sure I've been told that the completed game will include Tyranids, owing to the positive feedback DoW2 recieved.
I gotta say that the more I see of it the more I love this game. I'm not even a Marine player, but if ever you needed proof that Space Marines are cool, this is it. Four way co-op would be awsome, although me and my mates would probably end up fighting over who gets to play as the thunderhammer wielding Marine .

it is a carnifex some interviewer asked why it was there and the one who showed the demo told him they weren't allowed to tell yet (with a smile on his face)
also someone said that there are rippers in a trailer

Stuff the thunderhammer! Bring on a few hacks to the game and most likely you can easily turn the devastator marine's heavy bolter into a plasma repeater launcher! Rapid firing plasma balls of doom ftw!
My Youtube channel. "What is a Belmont? A miserable pile of whips and sub-weapons."
When you see Space Marines in high def video footage you can see why they sell so well. However it's also why I don't play any more. The fluff and the CGI is brilliant, but the tabletop game play can't ever match up to this. I love the way the models move in the video footage, they just ooze power.
Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

Eh, the best cgi video I have seen on a video game is from Marvel Ultimate Alliance where Loki begins his invasion of Valhalla and a bunch of trolls and giants attack only to be charge back by a single viking. Kicks ass.
