The flying base on my piranah snapped last night leaving the top bit of the flying base stuck inside and filling up the hole the base would normally slot into. I tried gluing it back together but that didn't work Can anyone suggest how I might reattach the base to the piranah using glue or other means?

Off hand can only think of two things. Using a very small drll bit drill it the piece and then pull the drill bit out it with broken piece on the bit. The other is to super glue something smaller onto the piece left in the model and pull it after it dries. If is a pin base you could just drill out the hole.

Yeah, once those things break there's really no hope of reattaching them. You're best off trying to separate the base from the stand, either breaking it off or drilling it out.

Try using brass rod for the stand.

Drill it out, then use a magnet on the top of the stand and another magnet under the model. Then you can remove the base at will with no risk.
