Has anyone picked it up?

I reasoned that it's not a girl's game, as much as wargaming cannot be considered a boy's game.

It's really quite brilliant. I initially thought the customisation with patterns would make maybe an iota of gimmicky difference, but in truth it's tremendous.

Thoughts?

I like them up to a point.

Very much like spore,for me the fun part is making stuff.I get a bit bored running their day to day lives.
But all in all the sims is a nice game.

Only if I could play a cannibalistic serial killer.

Been enjoying it alot, played it solid last week, but slowly been creeping back to WoW.

Definately a game I will play on occasion through out the rest of the year and beyond mind you.

I'd say most of the new stuff was welcome, especially the goals and lifetime goals, plus rewards. Ability to no longer need to eat, go toilet etc makes the experience more entertaining as the Sims progress as well.

Lol, installing it now and messing around waiting for it to install.

I picked up. Rather entertaining. I've always enjoyed the architectural aspect of the game.

Yeah, same. I think the Create-A-Style is genius, though. FINALLY I can fulfill my OCD of having ALL my furniture the same wood!

Ill probably be getting this one. Looks like they made some improve ments. he 2nd was better than the 1st and this one looks really cool. Ill buy it after i finish GTA4

Definitely picking this up. Let the bizzare psychological experimentation begin . . .

Two of the biggest improvments is the free roaming of the neighbourhood and the cool new traits.

I love torturing my sims though. I already plan to have a murder house(keep people in the basement till they die), a fallout shelter, a family with two parents and 4 or 5 kids(both parents hate children), a kleptomaniac police officer, a person on the evil career track with the good trait, etc.

Created a city of clones lead by a vegetarian dictator where they are all forced to run on treadmills.

I thought it would be neat to use the architecture features to help me design a house/fortress/castle though, so I'll probably check it out once I put Windows back on my computer.

Can you still drown them in the pool if you take away the steps? ;p

I stopped buying Sims games when the novelty of adding a swimming pool and then removing the ladder wore off. Goodtimes man, good times.

Not sure you can do it with the newer versions though either.

"thinks" mmmm, burning down the house, didn't try that, will have to dig out the game and give this some much needed testing .. .. for science of course "snickers"
