Hello , I was wondering in the bits and stuff in 1 box . Exactly how many models can be geared from it?

If im not mistaken , it contains:
5 ork body
5 loota
5 burna
1 mek
1 deff gun
1 rokkit
1 shoota
1 kustom mega blasta

So a total of 14 potential weapons to be used on ork boys?

Do they share same back packs? or burna and loota have their own special ones?

The bodies included in the lootas and burnas box are the same as standard boyz. You could buy a loota/burna box and then buy a boyz box and gear them up with that stuff.

The loota backpacks are fitted to fit on the loota weapons, and the burna backpacks are fitted to fit on the burna weapons. Note that they're specific, certain backpacks only fit on certain guns.

Ah thank you , im just trying to figure out how many of my normal boys to leave un assembled so i can max out the Loota / Burna box bits.

How do Nob's bits and pieces fit with the AOBR Nobs?

The bitz from the Nobz box work just fine in conversions with AoBr Nobz.
Also IIRC there 4 ork bodies,4 burnaz & 4 Deffgunz in the loota box,not 5.

No problem ,also,if you like to "chop & swap"you can build an uber cheap burna/loota sqaud using the left over wepons from your loota boxes + a few of the cheapo 4 boy boxes,takes a bit of cuting,but I made a sqaud of 12 burna boyz for around 20 dollars.

4 deff guns
4 burnas
I think 2 rokkits
and 1 kustom mega blasta
and extra heads for easy boyz conversions

It would have been so much nicer if they replaced the Mek with another set of Loota/Burna parts. But of course, GW wants you to buy ANOTHER box.

Yeah, useful, but doesn't justify buying yet another box. Especially since you're already paying for another box of boyz if you want to make the most of it. But this is GW we're talking about. Being efficient actually lowers their profits.

I want a squad of 10 burners and its annoying that you cannot have that from 2 boxes. The good part though is that there is an abundance of bits sites on the net

It contains:

5 or 4 ork bodies
4 deff guns
4 burna weapons
4 fuel tanks for burnas
1 mek body
5 legs (1 pair which need to be fitted to the mek body if used, because of the KMB positioning)
1 rokkit
1 big shoota + gretchin in back pack
1 kustom mega blasta
1 mek head
3 "loota" heads
3 "burna" heads + face guard that could be placed on a normal head to get a "burna look"
1 "common" head

I bought 3 boxes, which gave me 12 lootas, then I used 12 AoBR bodies for the 12 burnas. I made 1 mek and the rest ended up in the bitz box.

Does loota have back packs too?

Essentially the intention of the box is to build either:
4 lootas (no backpacks, but harnesses)
OR
4 burnas (fuel backpacks)
AND
1 mek with either
KMB
OR
big shoota (ammo backpack)
OR
rokkit launcha

If you want to build the Mek with big Shoota or rokkit launcha
then you need the wepon holding arm from the boyz kit.

I just did that when building my burnas but i spent hours looking for that arm, thought i'd finaly lost it (both the bit and my mind) and just used the one from the boyz kit, then it turns out it was never there, how frustrating. (for all you nay sayers of the mek tis worth having 1 in a squad of lootaz/burnas just for the boss pole)

This is easily one of the more frustrating box sets out there.

Converting AoBR boys to Burnas is fairly easy though. I had no idea what I was going to do with yet more Slugga/Choppa Boyz until I remembered I had a bunch of Burna Bitz left over from the Lootas I built.

I don't think a Mek in a squad can take a bosspole. A Big Mek can, but I don't think a Mek can. With the metal box sets (tankbustas, kommandoes) coming with a Nob and 4 boyz, it's a similar situation - you have to buy too many boxes to get a full unit.

The Stormboyz box kind of annoys me. The models are great, I mean they really are, but at the same time I wish I could just buy up a bunch of the older conversion bitz to slap on the stupid number of regular Ork Boyz I have lying around.

I didn't even know there was a Kommando boxset. I thought you just had to buy individual blisters, like you do with Meganobz.

I also don't like that the Dread doesn't come with a KMB or extra CCWs.

1 side question guys for you Ork experts!

How do you guys make your Nob bikers? do you use plastic ork biker boys and give them nob torso and arms?
or just the body bikers come with + nob arms?

Ebay my friend! I've gotten nineteen old Stormboyz/parts off of Ebay for about $30 US with shipping. The new models create the look and the old ones fill out the squad.

"Counts as" for me. One battle they're Warbikers, the next they're Nob Bikers. Until I can get the awesome Forge World Nob Bikers, anyway. My lead biker I used the Nob torso and the chopped off AoBR Power Klaw from the Warboss for some added size and impressivness (Ork word).
