Theres always one empty left hand on a guardsman sprue, but they're pretty easy to convert. Most WHFB players should have some useful left hands/arms as well, just scrounge a few.

Here's how I did mine: (flamer + COD Manufactorum nozzle, like KidKyoto said)

KidKyoto: Most welcome, enjoy the combimeltas!

Tanus: thanks!

Barlio: I used several different things for backpacks, since I like the idea of veterans 'acquiring' their specials instead of them being handed out to them.

Here's a painted pic of three backpacks:

The left one uses an old plastic handflamer (right side) and some random plastic stuff; a piece of antenna and some plasticard IIRC; the middle one uses a shaved down comms pack (not nlike I'll be using a vox anyway...), and the third one a shaved down SM backpack. I've also used half a chaos vehicle smoke laucher, which looks a lot like two fuel canisters if placed properly . If someone wants I can post pic of that one as well.

Thanks for the conversion ideas!

You're welcome! A little rundown on the components:

- exhaust from COD manufactorum
- Ye olde guardsmen bits
- Flamer arms
- vox backapck
- I used a bit of wire from an old headphone that had broken down for the tube, and some plasticard tubing to make it enter the bacpack.

Here's how I did it:

- remove the fuel feed and the pipes + exhausy, but keep the bit where the handle goes on (there is tubing behin that, but remove it as well). Glue this back on, straight to the flamer body.
- add in the exhaust from a COD manufactorum, and the meltagun itself is ready.
- I removed the antennae and the handles from the vox backpack, filed the bit where I wanted the ppower cable to enter flat, and then added a small bit of tubing to have somewhere to put the power cabling in to.
- Pose the model properly, attach the backpack, and add a power cable from whatever you like.

One meltagunner, lots of poses possible!
