If I were to convert the new Planetstrike bastions into missile bunkers (shorter than standard, silo doors on top revealing a large warhead inside), would they be acceptable proxies as Deathstrike Missile Launchers? For obvious reasons, I wouldn't actually move the launchers.

That's actually a pretty slick idea, I personally wouldn't have any problem with that as a counts-as.

I won't lie to you, it would be a bit wierd looking, IMO. Especially if the bastion has to move on from a table edge or something. That being said, I'd certainly let you do it in a friendly game. Although, you might want to take into account that the size of the bastion would probably make it visible from anywhere on the tabletop. Might be a bit of a severe liability to you given the current 40K LOS rules.

Would it be possible to add some sort of crawler tracks to the bottom, representing a 'self-propelled bunker', just to keep whiners quiet?

But personally, so long as it's about the same dimensions as a standard Chimera-based Deathstrike, I'd be quite happy to play against it, even in a tourney - at worst you can claim it has hidden feet underneath which allow it to walk around the gameboard

I think you should add some method of propulsion to it.

Otherwise why bother counting it as a vehicle in the first place? If its supposed to be a vehicle, at least model it so it looks like it can move. I think it would look pretty awesome with tracks. Sort of like that giant tracked behemoth that they used to carry the Saturn V Rocket on.

I think you should make it... then give me some rules... then let me make it into an actual gw looking datasheet for a nuclear missle... thatll bring a whole new meaning to apocalypse aye?
