This weekend the FLGS is having a 500 point tourney, where the player and one randomly selected ally face off against two other opponents. Army selection is as follows

0-1 HQ, no more than 100 pts, no more than 2 wounds
1+ troop choice, no more than 250 pts
no vehicles over 100 pts
no armor saves under 2+ NOTE: He may have said no 2+ saves period. I don't recall, it doesn't affect me much.
there are additional rules about the subsequent games being affected by the outcome of previous ones, but I'm not too familiar there.

I play IG, and I threw together a rough list that I hope can handle whatever might come my way.

1 CCS 2 x plas, regimental banner

1 inf platoon
1 x pcs 2 x flamer, 1 x heavy flamer
2 x inf squad 2 x flamer
1 HWS - 3 ac or 3 HB (recommendations?)

1 vet squad 3 x melta
chimera

What's the highest AV I'll be facing if the pt max is 100? Will meltas be necessary?

Are Regimental Banners worthwhile? I want as much chance as I can to pass the tests...

Battle wagon has a front armor with AV14.

Company Commander has 3 wounds..., banners are great for moral! And that looks strong.. Whats with the lower amount of points though?

At such a low points the Regimental Banner probably isn't worth it. Drop the HF in the PCS for two normal flamers.
-The HWS (if you do have one) should be LCs or ACs (you need AT)
-Also drop the 2 PGs in the CCS for 3 meltas

A touched up list, this one is actually in line with the rules...

1 primaris psyker

1 inf platoon
PCS w/ 2 flamers
2 x infantry w/ GL and AC

1 vet squad 3 x melta, chimera

3 x scout sentinel w/multilaser

I'm aiming for putting out an absurd volume of firepower here, with flexibility to handle the few high armor targets like battlewagons (thanks for the info there) there might be, or the horde of infantry there most certainly will be.

The sentinels are an idea--I've never used them, but I like the idea of 3 outflanking mutlilasers.

Primaris isn't worth it at these points. Drop it in favour of a CCS with 2 meltas.

I can't field CCS in this tourney--no models with more than two wounds are allowed.... And since the primaris is the only HQ with two wounds, I figure I'll give it a shot.
