Alright, I was bored and decided to pick away at a new, small project. Just took me a few hours to do, but it was well worth it ,and quite fun. I think its kinda small, but hey. It'll work I guess. I'm just gonna mod a pair of Borked Ork boyz to be the crew for it and tear apart some of my old empire cannon loaders to equip them. I put an ork Nob next to it to show off its scale.

The cannon itself, and part of the frame is from an empire cannon. Just made so much more orky.

Sorry for the bad photos!

Comments and stuff are welcome!

I like it except for the base - it needs wheels or tracks or something underneath

Very nice stuff. but I agree with clang needs some sort of wheels or treads. Or better yet grots that carry it around everywhere.

I like it. I recently won 3 IG lascannons from ebay that I plan to convert into zzap guns, so your post is inspiring. I see that a few people commented that you need wheels. I agree and since I will be building mine soon and intend on using wheels I was wondering if anyone knows where to get them / manufacture them CHEAP.

Toys - look at your local dollar store for construction site toys for chunky all-terrain wheels, or use a 20mm base, trim off the beveled edge so you end up with a flat circle (you could cut them out yourself, but it's easier to get neat circles like this) and make a rim with thin plasticard strips (you need thin so that it bends easily - one pack will be more than enough). Adorn with orky plates and big rivets and you're done.

To be honest its abit on the small side. When I think ork cannons I see things a fair bit bigger than that. Then again im not too fond of the GW cannons. I just think they should be bigger.

As a build is good, looks well put together and a nice clean (for orks at least) paintjob

I <3 my bits box
