Hey guys this has probably been asked before but I can't find a thread on it. I was playing a game against necrons last night. Dawn of war, annihilation which resulted in me having a few questions about the workings of the deceiver.

1) can the deceiver run and then use its deceive power in the shooting phase? Even though you activate the power in the shooting phase its neither a psychic attack nor a shooting attack so by raw I was told he can run and use it, is this true?

2) Is the deceive power not effected by night fighting rules since its in no way a shooting attack?

I assume the answer is yes to both of these questions. But I wanted to check to see if there was proof otherwise.

Thanks

The answer is yes to both questions by the RAW. Although, as always, you will probably run into some people who feel the power is similar enough to a shooting attack that they will think you are somehow cheating them even though you aren't.

Thanks. I just wasn't positive and wanted some clarification!
