If I threw three Elite Inquisitors and gave them Hammer of the Witches and an acolyte each, then tossed them in an Immolator, would it be worth using? In theory I get to make the opponent test with all of his Psykers over and over again and suffers wounds on a reasonable scale throughout the game, with Acolytes to eat one of my own perils on each and an Immolator to shoot at stuff in the mean time (@200ish points). Anyone have experience with something like this?

A massive points sink that may grant you a minor advantage early on, but is unlikely to make a meaningful contribution to your winning the game, and can be completely useless against many opponents. No, I would not consider it worth using.

There's also the minor problem that a transport can only carry one unit at a time - and you want to transport three...

The only way of fitting 3x Inqs and 3x acolytes into one vehicle is to have 1 inq with 3 acolytes, and 2x independent inqs tagging onto the squad.

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

Getting 3 Inquisitors may be a bit overkill. However they would be a fantastic assist unit. That mancatcher does wonders versing HQs (-1 attack).
My advice is, tech out that one Inquisitor and give him 3 acolytes. Mabye a crusader as well. (love them crusaders).
An immolator is very versatile depending on what you give it. Heavy Flamer=Anti Infantry, Multi-Melta = Anti Vehichle.
