How is that a clarity fail? It does not contain nuts. Pine nuts not being Nuts at all. Seeds I think.
However, they cannot guarantee against nut related contamination, as the place they are made and/or packaged in also contains nuts.
And the last bit is put in, like the rest of it, to stop over zealous tossers suing over something that really does not need to be told. Like 'Coffee is Hot' 'Peanuts are not suitable for people suffering Nut Allergy' etc.
Clear as day really.
Oh, and if memory serves, Peanuts are not in fact nuts either. Remember hearing that on telly. Probably QI I'd imagine.

I think it is unclear because it says "no nuts" and says "cannot guarantee nut free".
But I don't get it properly either and think the sign is also rather clear in its statement.

It is indeed! QI is quite possible the greatest ever telly programme ever!
And although the recipe for the product does not contain nuts, unless a given food product is made in a factory/location which never has nuts involved in any of the products, it must state that the foodstuffs produced therein may not be nut free.
Clear as crystal that.

Indeed, we have such strict rules about labeling in the UK that everyone knows this. Always fun to see failblog though, just skip the obviously non-fail ones.
