I wanted to know if when a drop pod deploys it troops, lets say a 10 man tactical marine squad uquiped with a multimelta. Do they count as having deployed from a vehicle that has already moved that turn. In which case they would deploy and not be able to move in the movement phase, but would be able to soot except for heavies. In the rules for the drop pod it only restricts them from assualting. Yet I have seen people play it with them landing and deploying then moving then shooting and as ardboys is coming up soon I am thinking about using pods with my army. Please help me with this as I can not find a clear cut answer on this.

Under the couch

This is covered in the Deep Strike rules on page 95 of the rulebook.

Models that arrive in a Deep Striking transport vehicle may only disembark. They get no further movement that turn.

And the vehicle also counts as moving at cruising speed.
