Got myself a little bottle of Liquitex Flow Aid, due to praise I heard around the site...

Anybody want to suggest some guidelines for its use?

I dilute mine 1:20 like the instructions recommend. I add 4 or 5 drops to a brand new pot of GW paint and mix it up. Then I use it with my wet pallet and if needed I'll add a drop or two after.

I've heard mention of adding it to paint... Why doesn't the paint have this stuff in it to start with?

I've really, Really wondered this, too. Even with just regular, watering down paint. You can buy soup condensed, but you can also buy "chunky" soup with water already added. If soup can come around to it, why can't paint?

There's probably a really good reason why... I just don't know what it is

its just cuz GW doesn't want to have to bother with it
