hello Dakka! im just starting fantasy and the vampire counts caught my eye, (i love lore)

anyways, could you help me out and give me some hints/tips/tricks/other about fantasy/vampire counts in general?

anything at all would be helpful!

Sweet! Another 40k-to-fantasy convert!

I'm giving you a bump, but I don't know anything about VC, so let's see what others have to say

(btw, you might want to make your title a little more descriptive by editing your post)

I was thinking more along the lines of vampire counts in the title but I like the change... lol!

About fantasy in general- I've only played a few games to learn the rules, but even from that (and from what everyone posts) deployment is way more important than in 40k. People say you can lose simply by deploying badly (and I'm thinking the opposite is true, too!). It's all about formations and using units in tandem, and there's a lot more strategy involved in some aspects... again people say, almost like chess vs checkers (comparing to 40k). I am loving it so far (since I love chess, after all) and am considering selling my 40k army to make room for more fantasy even after the teaser experiences I've had.

I hope that's not too general, but you mentioned fantasy in general, so that's my take so far from the perspective of another 40k convert
