Can drop pods contest on their own(if in range and no other unit (own)around)

Yes, they are a unit therefore can contest barring any contrary rules - which they don't have.

Well, they contest even if there is 9001 enemies nearby too. That's the whole point of Contesting. What they cannot do is Capture objectives.

No it is not, I was just pointing it out because your original question of "Can drop pods contest on their own(if in range and no other unit (own)around) " At first glance suggests you might think they can't contests of other units are there.

The question is about contesting which in itself implies i know they can't capture,the own unit part is in context of the unit coming out of pod which would contest anyway and why i said no own unit around,your only trying to help and i am busting your balls,i apologize slow day at work
