About to eat your Avatar...

Not sure where to start so I will just make funny faces and avoid eye contact.

That is where I would start with my swift annihilation of all that would ruin my cool . OOOOooooohhhhh RIIIIggghhhtttt!!!
(yes the Kool-aid man, he is the epitomy of )

The problem with doing this is that you are making a real person feel bad and you might as well just ignore them altogether. I would say that most arguments I have been a part of or witnessed involved myself in somehow (dammit...why did I say anything ) can be easily avoided altogether by not playing the person at all, and simply asking them to leave you alone and mind their own business. Seems to work most of the time.

The burning fact is that someone can be the worst company you have EVER encountered and you cannot do anything about it besides leave the area...
I hate this mmk... it is a way for them to feel better (NO...YOU DIE...YOU DIE AND GO TO HELL!!!) and a fantastic way to chip away at my self-esteem. I have never seen a group of people kick someone out of a store for simply being a complete "bugger-all, I AM A TROLL... RAAARRRGGGHHhhhhh!!!". I am sure it has happened, the fact is you may encounter something like this by yourself, and you will need to be mentally prepared.

How does DakkA DakkA step on these annoying bugs?

I.. I'm sorry, I simply cannot take this topic seriously at all. the combination of the avatar, the smilies, and the colored text and weird capitalization, act as to my eyes, as I am sure holy wards would act onto a deamon; I cannot stand to look at it.

But in all seriousness, The worst guy I had to deal with was dude who never showered. Ugh.

OK - first, the grammar police have been informed and you can expect a severe beating with a textbook when you least expect it...

On topic - trolls/TFG whatever term you use (most of which are unrepeatable on a family friendly forum ) are an inevitable and unavoidable part of the hobby. Why? Because they are an inevitable and unavoidable part of any hobby.

Dealing with them is generally simple. If they ask you for a game, politely decline. If you play them before you know they're an idiot, make sure you don't play them again. If they're interrupting you when you're talking, ask them not to and so on.

If at any point in proceedings they think to ask why, explain calmly and politely that you don't find certain things acceptable and that its spoiling your enjoyment of the hobby. Sometimes people will be apologetic and will alter their behaviour (although if this happens you need to make the effort to play/talk with them or you end up looking bad); sometimes people will get stroppy, but hey, you weren't going to play them anyway so why do you care?

As long as you don't lose your temper or start behaving like TFG yourself to make a point, you take the moral high ground and glide serenely off to nirvana [small cymbal clash]

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

It's pretty easy, really. I hit the ignore button for people's posts I don't want to see.

Ahh, there, that's better.
