Hey guys I just walked into a lot of CSM and i was wondering where i should go with what i have. I'm going to be buying some stuff tomorrow so any help would be awesome.

So far I have

33x Khorn Berz...i can prob make some more with spare bits

Defiler
extra CC weapon and the twin linked cannon
(all bits included)

Rhino
-havoc launcher (can take off)

2x Dreadnaughts
1 has a the flamer
1 has the extra CC weapon

5x Terminators
varies weapons uncluding
-powerfist
-lightning claws
-flamer

Chaos Land Raider
-Twin linked las cannons
-twin linked cannon shooter thing
(can add havoc launcher)

HQ:
Some random lord

so yeah thats what came with the lot. I would love to make something out of this and i was going to maybe buy 2 more rhinos maybe a better HQ and a heavier shootier tank...i dont know you guys tell me what would be the best route to go with what i have. Thanks again.

TBH it won't do well at all. All this list can do is assault, and you need some guns too. I strongly suggest reading over a Chaos Tactica or two (the article in my sig is a good start!) and you should get a much better idea what's going on.

i think this list is mighty competitive in friendly games.

rush everything forward, make sure to get the charge, and start taking skulls for the blood god.

i don't know what special weapons you can equip zerks with but maybe you can throw some meltas in. Combi weapon your rhinos and pintle mount a melta weapon on the LR... now you have guns

also the termis should be in the LR IMO... DS 5 termis is no good. especialy ifyou want them in CC. So I would have a rhino for each Zerk squad.

Zerks get no specials, hence why this list won't work. They're basically expensive marines with no added protection, though some CC pproficiency (if they get the charge).

I would say you should know how to play an assault based army well since you play orks. This army won't do well in tourneys but will be good in friendly games. The best thing to do is go buy some regular chaos marines, plagues, or thousand sons. Those squads will help to balance you out a little. For your headquarters get a demon prince or termie lord. Last for heavy get some obliterators. Hopefully this helps and have fun with chaos.

everyone thanks for the replies. They helped a lot. I havent had a chance to build onto this army...mainly because of cash and Ork focus but when i do i'll let you know how it does. Thanks again.
