Personally I am enjoying the eye candy a lot. The AI isn't too horrible on hard which was where my biggest make or break expectations lay.

To me it has met my expectations and I am looking forwards to more content from cyanide in the future.

I didn't realize it was coming out for the PC. I thought it was an Xbox360 thing. I may just consider purchasing this game. I haven't tried the actual blood bowl tabletop game but it looked fun. BTW I didn't vote because I didn't purchase it nor have I tried a demo.

I'm tempted to pick this up for the PC but I think i'll wait and get it on the 360.

After a little while some of the shine is gone for me. There are a few annoyances in the game such as the complete lack of anything but perfect bloodbowl weather...the lack of 50k inducements (bloodweiser babes)...the list goes on.

More immediately frustrating is the way they have decided to format their GUI, such as the chat interfaces and messaging system.
French engineering at its finest.

Here's hoping they actually put more effort into creating a decent product before cashing in on "expansions" as they won't get my money until they fix the basic game that I paid for.

I'd love to hear you go in to a little more detail about these annoyances.

I'd love to hear some of the good points as well, reviewers seem to be giving this game a wide berth.

Yes the weather thing is strange, I assume they haven't included any other weather types as I have never had anything other than a gentle breeze screw with the Kick.

I have mostly played the TurnBased mode and this is the almost exact board game as you know it. Except you get to see your Gutter Runners doing combat rolls, your Wardancers doing somersaults, your Minotaur slamming the enemy and the crowds invading the pitch!

It is very shiny, and the AI is at least somewhat competant; in that it plays Dwarves as Blockers and Skaven as Runners, etc.

I have only lost a few times but then I suspect that had more to do with my dice rolls than anything the AI did.

As for the Real Time, I have played it once and never gone back. Perhaps I am just a BB Purist but I prefer the tactical planning needed in the turn based mode, and miss it too much in frenzy that is Real time mode.

If the turn based mode is basically the blood bowl game that we know and love it sounds great. I think I could overcome any interface problems and cumbersome controls.

The annoyances are things that aren't exactly the turn based game.

Things that I am aware of -
No bloodweiser babes to take as a 50k inducement
No weather other than perfect
Journeymen players cannot be hired after the match and keep SPP's earned during the game.

Annoyances include:
The user interface for actually organising games online. This means that you are stuck in one massive chat room with germans and frenchies all Achtung! and par lay voo franssay? Which is far from an intelligent design.
The fact that you cannot simply establish a chat session with a player but have to first scroll through a list, find their name, then scroll through another list to choose the private chat option is simply bone headed.

Other annoyances is SPP tracking (you can highlight SPP numbers on players by pressing N) as the values get very confused and cluttered together in the scrum of players.

Actually telling players/positionals apart. They aren't very dissimilar so confusing a lineorc with a blitzer for example happens all the time.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
There are a whole ton more things but honestly they are small and numerous.

Good things about the game are its very pretty, which is a big plus.

It has a great atmosphere and team customisation seems to be available.

I can't disagree with BeefyG, but I don't let the little things annoy me.

Like the computer doesn't always pick the best route to a destination, so simetimes you have to click out the path so that your player doesn't end up having to do about a bajillion dodge rolls.
