So Micheal Jackson finally died. Would it be wrong if I marked my calender?

I normally have mad respect for the dead. I go postal when kids ransack cemeteries. But this is Micheal Jackson, easily the F'ed up person on the planet Earth. AND a child molester at that. Those people deserve no respect

MJ got lucky, and had a lawyer that focused the lateest child rape case on the mother instead of the crime.
There is a special place in hell for people like him.

I had no respect for him in life, so I dont' see why I should find any for him in death.

If he was guilty, he would have been found guilty in court, but he wasn't. I guess its fine though, I'm sure he didn't give a damn about your or my respect. If I'd made Thriller, I wouldn't give a damn about anyone's respect.

Just to clarify: Hitler was a monster, Hussein was a monster, Pol Pot was a monster; Michael Jackson was fethed up guy who needed lots of counselling.

To be fair, he was never convicted.

But honestly, when you're accused of child molestation more than once, there's something fishy going on. As lots of people have said, if it weren't for the fact that he's a famous pop star, he would've likely gone to jail.

That being said, it's kind of a shame that he died so suddenly. But let's face it, he was a really really f'ed up individual.

Oh so since he wasnt found guilty in court then everything is totally fine. Kind of like OJ too right?! Yea that guy is TOTALLY innocent. I know that "book thing" was totally just a "what if" type of "thing" and he really "didnt" do "IT" but thats all because he wasnt found guilty in court. Way to back up your reason that Micheal Jackson didnt have a fancy for naked children.

Oh I wasnt really calling him evil. I should of specified more clearly. I only called this thread speaking of evil, because before this, the last thread I wrote in, that was the last thing I said lol

Not Guilty is not the same as Innocent. It's 'we can't prove that you did it'. The US Justice system isn't about justice, it's about what you can prove to 12 people who couldn't get out of jury duty. And has been shown multiple times, just because the jury found you Guilty, it doesn't mean you were (as DNA has started to show that some people were wrongfully convicted).

Any crime with a child as the star witness becomes difficult, since children often don't hold up well on cross-examination, and some parents won't let their kids testify (in particular if they got a huge payout from the accused).

I never said he didn't fancy kids, I'm just saying you can't provide any proof for any wrongdoing by him. I'm sure that he messed around with kids, but again its clear that he had some deep psych issues. Not excusing the allegations, just saying they were allegations. I remember reading that he was pretty abused as a child, so this is really no surprise. Regardless though, its awfully gakky of people to be glad he's dead. He made great music. He was an incredible dancer. If nothing else, respect the man for his creative talent. But you (general you) don't have to be an donkey-cave about the whole thing saying "oh he's in hell, blah blah blah". Respect people. Respect in death.

Agreed its earned. If having the highest selling album of all time doesn't earn your respect, you don't respect art too much.

No, I don't respect a child molester despite his other accomplishments. Mosselini made the trains run on time, should he be respected for that?

Personally, I never cared much for MJ's music. But, if Brian Johnson or Angus Young of AC/DC had similar accusations of child molestation against them, I'd lose all respect for them as well.

Luck had nothing to do with it. Your ability to win a case is almoist directly proportional to the amount of money you can spend.

Hmmm... To each their own. If you can't separate professional life from personal so be it. Oh well.
