Why not just mix all the suggestions you have?

You can get LR and Vindi
You can get Assault marines
You can get termies with flamer and missle
You can get bikes.

?????

Best recommendation: learn to spell, trying to read this hurts my brain.

THE HORUS HERESY: Emprah: Hours, go reconquer the galaxy so there can be a new golden age. Horus: But I should be Emprah, bawwwwww! Emprah: Magnus, stop it with the sorcery. Magnus: But I know what's best, bawwwwww! Emprah: Horus, tell Russ to bring Magnus to me because I said so. Horus: Emprah wants you to kill Magnus because he said so. Russ: Fine. Emprah's always right. Plus Ole Red has already been denounced as a traitor and I never liked him anyway. Russ: You're about to die, cyclops! Magnus: O noes! Tzeentch, I choose you! Bawwwww! Russ: Ah well. Now to go kill Horus. Russ: Rowboat, how have you not been doing anything? Guilliman: . . . I've been writing a book. Russ: Sigh. Let's go. Guilliman: And I fought the Word Bearers! Horus: Oh shi--Spess Puppies a'comin? Abbadon: And the Ultramarines, sir. Horus: Who? Anyway, this looks bad. *enter Sanguinis* What are you doing here? Come to join me? Sanguinius: *throws self on Horus's power claws* Alas, I am undone! When you play Castlevania, remember me! *enter Emprah* Emprah: Horus! So my favorite son killed my favorite daughter! Horus: What about the Lion? Emprah: Never liked her. Horus: No one does. Now prepare to die! *mortally wounds Emprah*Emprah: Au contraire, you dick. *kills Horus* Dorn: Okay, now I just plug this into this and . . . okay, it works! Emprah? Hellooooo? Jonson: I did nothing! Guilliman: I did more nothing that you! Jonson: Nuh-uh. I was the most worthless! Guilliman: Have you read my book? Dorn: No one likes that book. Khan: C'mon guys. It's not that bad. Dorn: I guess not. Russ: You all suck. Ima go bring the Emprah back to life.

2nd this ^.

Post in proper English.
Use of text speak and other meaningless abbreviations tends to have the effect of making people not bother reading your posts - even if you do have something to contribute.

My suggestion: Take a mix. Unless you like a particular theme (like all terminator Deathwing ).

I agree with chromedog on the mixed army part because for example when facing an ork army if you're playing as Blood Angels you'll want to assault them rather than them assaulting you. Taking a vindicator or 2 will help to thin the numbers of the orks giving you a greater advantage of wining the combat so it is useful to mix armies.

My suggestion for your SM army:

Add a "C" in front of that "SM" and get yourself some defilers.

They're like a can full of Awesomesauce wrapped in a flaky puff-pastry exterior, served with a side of kewlbeanz.

Things I've gotten other players to admit...

You made baby Jesus cry.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

Ill write you an honest response before the thread jackers get this locked.

Since your starting out, its usually impossible for a new player to be able to buy an entire company's worth of stuff. So being able to feild anything you want is impossible at the start. SO saying that, Ill tell you to start with the setup you like the most. Tanks or troops is pretty much the cut and dry of what your looking for. Think on that, and then spend away.

I've been playin 40k for roughly 1 year now and im starting a new space marine army (I know 90% of the people play sm but i would like to give it a go), i thought about what kind of space marine army, what should i play? there are four main kinds that i would like to consider:

1) Armored spearhead= Majority of tanks including land raider's and vindicator's with space marine tactical troops with heavy weopons (e.g. Plasma Cannon) this would lack cc.
2) Classic space marine= Commander, 5 man terminator squad, 2 tactical squads with cheap flamers/missile launcher combo's, and vindicators/whirlwinds
3) Terminator/Jump pack assault= Majority of army consists of Terminators / All jump pack assault orientated army, similar to blood angels.
4) Bike list= Army similar to White scars with bike squadrons and land speeders.

What would you recommend? thanks in advanced

Do all bikes, max out troops XD

Don't forget the White scars guy so you can have out flanking stuff. Also are you able to still take bike squads as fast attack when you take a captain on a bike? If you are make the fast attacks attack bike squads. As for elites.... I'm not sure, th/ss Terminators in outflanking LRs? That also takes up all the heavy support.

Then using it is easy. Find the enemy, drive at the enemy, win.

Just don't paint them black and white. Or if you do, do it for the lulz
Also try to avoid difficult terrain unless you really need to use it. I've seen a lot of bikes die that way

Also have fun in Planet Strike if you're attackers you can have 6 troops, 6 fast attack and 3 HQ (captain and comand squad), that equals to. 60 + 60 + 6 + 6 + 6 = 118 bikes, not counting the th/ss Terminators.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
3670 points without upgrades, but including the White scars guy. Also just realised that normal bike squads can go up to 8 not 10. Scout Bikes go up to 10 so you can have 118 if you use them. If you use normal bikes it's 94 bikes.
