From what I've read, it's most effective to take Teclis alone. Since he casts irresistibly on Any double, your opponent is not going to use too many dispel dice to stop him. All their dice will be left to stop your lesser mages.
I'd take Teclis, and at most one other mage (perhaps with the Seerstaff so his spells will have punch, too). The other mages cost quite a bit, and aren't adding that much,
imho.
You'll also need a unit to hide them in- phoenix guard with banner of sorcery maybe? Or white lions with the standard of balance (so they won't break and run away in fear

). You could afford this using the points from the "extra" mages!
Those are my thoughts, but do you have tactics for the list as it is? I'd like to see some more variety to it, personally, but I know people love swordmasters in units of 7

. I think it's a good idea not to have a center, but I'd rather see a few units of dragon princes to give you some speed, rather than all swordmasters!
