So a friend of mine is playing High Elves, and seeing as how myself and GammaTau seem to be kicking his butt pretty regularly I figured I'd find it in my heart to make him a list. So here it is.

Teclis-475

Mage-175
-Magic Level 2, Jewel of the Dusk, The Skeinsliver

Mage-175
-Magic Level 2, Ring of Fury

Mage-175
-Magic Level 2, Sigil of Asuryan

10 Archers-110

10 Archers-110

7 Swordmasters-105

7 Swordmasters-105

7 Swordmasters-105

7 Swordmasters-105

7 Swordmasters-105

7 Swordmasters-105

Repeater Bolt Thrower-100

Repeater Bolt Thrower-100

Repeater Bolt Thrower-100

Repeater Bolt Thrower-100

Angron- crushing the theme and fluff of armies one horde at a time.

This list would die fast to a dwarf gun line. rune smiths shutting down the magic and artillery and thunderers shooting the crap out of those sword masters. you might not even see combat, but if there is an army out there that has little to no shooting and no cavalry, this army would work great.

I am a Utah man sir, I live across the green, our gang is the jolliest that you have ever seen, Our co-eds are the fairest, ans each one's a shining star, our yell you'l hear it ringing through the mountains near and far.
Who am I sir? a UTAH MAN am I. A UTAH MAN sir, I will be till I die.

KI-YI

Were up to snuff, we never bluff were game for any fuss, no other gang of college men dare meet us in the MUSS. So fill your lungs and sing it out and shout it to the sky, we'll fight for dear old Crimson for a UTAH MAN AM I!!

GO UTES!!!!

From what I've read, it's most effective to take Teclis alone. Since he casts irresistibly on Any double, your opponent is not going to use too many dispel dice to stop him. All their dice will be left to stop your lesser mages.

I'd take Teclis, and at most one other mage (perhaps with the Seerstaff so his spells will have punch, too). The other mages cost quite a bit, and aren't adding that much, imho.

You'll also need a unit to hide them in- phoenix guard with banner of sorcery maybe? Or white lions with the standard of balance (so they won't break and run away in fear ). You could afford this using the points from the "extra" mages!

Those are my thoughts, but do you have tactics for the list as it is? I'd like to see some more variety to it, personally, but I know people love swordmasters in units of 7 . I think it's a good idea not to have a center, but I'd rather see a few units of dragon princes to give you some speed, rather than all swordmasters!
