Eldar were my very first army and I'm thinking of returning to my roots for 40K.

1. I like the idea of a Dire Avenger "Swarm" Army (i.e. as many as I can get for the points) with the odd Wave Serpent for fast deployment Any good?

2. With anti-infantry fire power more than taken care of, I would support them with the other Aspects for specialised jobs, but won't have a lot of points left over. What's a good unit size for Scorpions , Banshees , Dragons , Spiders and Hawks ?

Scorpions and Banshees by their nature will take caualties - and will usually want to put as many attacks out as possible in CC so I would go for the maximum 10 (although Scorps are tougher so you can get away with less if you're pushed for points)

Reapers and Spears should always be maxed (5). They are powerful but have few shots/attacks so you want to maximise this wherever possible.

Dragons should always run small (max 6). 6 meltas should be enough to waste any tank but once in the open they will attract buckets of return fire and you'll probably lose the squad regardless of size, so don't pay more than you need.

Hawks and Spiders are very much personal taste. I would tend to go with a full size unit of spiders to get the max number of S6 shots (effectively make them a similar unit to SL War Walkers), whereas Hawks I'd go for 5-6 with intercept, skyleap and sunrifle. Yo-yo them as requried and use them as emergency tank hunters and to wipe out small remnants with massed S3 lasfire.
