I have been toying around with this kind of list and what I would run would be something like this.
HQ
Vulkan
MotF

Troops
Tac Squad x10
meltagun, multimelta, power fist, rhino
Tac Squad x10
meltagun, multimelta, power fist, rhino
Scout Squad x10
Camo Cloak, Sniper Rifles, Sergeant Telion

Fast Attack
Land Speeder w/ Multimelta
Land Speeder w/ Multimelta
Land Speeder w/ Multimelta

Elites/Heavy Support
3-4 Dreadnoughts w/ Multimelta, Heavy Flamers
2-3 Ironclad Dreadnoughts w/ heavy flamer
All in Drop Pods
(4 Dread/2 Ironclads or 3 Dreads/3 Ironclads)

I think it will take on most armies that can come at it. It will really shine against mech armies with 13 twin-linked melta weapons most of which deep strike or can.
This comes out to about 2000pts

I would say swap a flamer for the meltagun in the squads. Since you have like a gazillion melta-weapons a couple extra flamers would help. The scout squad feels out of place. I would say either split them into two smaller squads with teleport homers, or exchange the squad for another 10 man tactical squad.

I like the idea of so many Dreads. Since you are going nuts with them I would say roll with the 3 Ironclads. If you do so I demand a battle report and a recap of what they are capable of.

The scouts are for holding a home objective or two since they will have a 2+ cover save (camo cloak plus MotF special rule. Flamers in the tac squads is a good idea and I like it. A teleport homer will do nothing for the army. Thanks for the input.

If you want to use homers remember that three locator beacons cost the same as two teleporter homers, and do basically the same thing and more. Maybe replace the Ironclad's stormbolter and meltagun for heavy flamers (If you can't fire them both and it just counts as twin linked then only replace the stormbolter) also give them the Ironclad assault launcher and use them to hunt infantry, maybe help the vehicle hunting Dreadnoughts deal with the little guys.

Now I see what you did with the Scouts. Good thinking.

Another great thing about the scouts is that Sergeant Telion can pick out the models inside of opponents units (his special rule and bolter ) that can hurt the dreadnoughts within 36" of him. So those nobz and other powerfist waving models/ melta/ other heavy weapon guy basically pick 'em up .

You could do with a long range weapon like a Thunderfire Cannon to take out opponents on bigger boards whilst you're waiting for the drop pods.

I agree with phantommaster you need some kind of long range support to help you.

Bigger Boards? All tourney boards are going to be 4' x 6' and I will have 3 dreads on the first turn. Plus Thunderfire Cannons suck...

Thunder Fires are alright, but it takes away a slot from the Dreadnoughts. Half rounded up come in automatically first turn. That does mean that if you have 5 or 6 three will come in first turn. So it is an option, it also uses BS 5, iirc, so it's not going to scatter far and it does 4 shots per turn.

Maybe put it with your MotF and Scouts, it can have a Drop Pod, but doesn't need to be placed in it. Either way if you give one Tactical Squad a Drop Pod, four come in the first turn. Also it's great how you can place the Thunder Fire somewhere it cannot usually travel to, like the top of a building. The underground shots will slow any meltas heading the Dreadnoughts way.

Just some advice, Drop the Cloaks.
Unless someone has some way of Killing Tellion first, having Tellion means the whole unit benefits from stealth, even without the cloaks

Just don't let him die

i love the look of all the dreads walking toward the enemies of the emperor ! this list should be fine for annihilation my single dreadnought once killed 500 points of stuff before he was even glanced! really good for massacring in CC. get 3 normal, 1 with LC and missile launcher. 1 with PC and Dreadnought CC weapon and 1 with AC and Dreadnought CC weapon. the 3 ironclad sounds nice make sure they can tare apart stuff from tanged maybe get a CHEAP captain on bike then put your troop choices bikers so they can turbo-boost towards the objectives while the opponent is ripped apart by dreads!

I don't think that the LC in needed if they are drop poding in. I like the 4/2 ratio with all the mech out there.
