I don't like the blood.

Also, per standard WM doctrine, the weapon is silly. A curved hilt that thin on a slashing sword of that size would snap the first time it hit something it couldn't go through.

I know it looks cool, but as a swordsman I find it ridiculous.

Dakka. You need more of it. No exceptions.

What are you talking about? They're Space Marines, which are heroic. They need to be able to do all the heroic stuff. They fight aliens and don't afraid of anything. -Orkeosarus

Retribution of Scyrah, actually.

Dark Eldar aren't soulless. They revel in their emotions.

I think it looks pretty good. Factoring in that all wargaming miniatures have oversized hurf weapons.

I think without the blood it will look very nice...

I do wonder what it's rules will be. If the description is anything to go by then destroying it in combat will be the downfall of it's destroyer... I am wondering a lot about the rules for retribution lately.... Hopefully they will give us a few teaser-rules in the near-future...

July's No Quarter has MkI rules for a few of the Retribution's models. September's will have more, but by then the Retribution book will be released (The book will be entirely MkII).

You are assuming there is something that it couldn't go through.

This latest round of Retribution stuff is pretty sweet.

Rant Alert.

Ok, seriously, we are talking about Steampunk here, where giant steam robots fight other giant steam robots with magic, and where people weild giant weapons and wear steam armor. And some elves apparently use crossbows against robots. Are you seriously concerned about a sword hilt? I mean, taking your stance, we could argue this way against anything.

As a mechanical engineer, I find the idea of steam powered magical robots ridiculous. The physics alone has Newton perpetually rocking in his grave.
As a biologist, I find the idea of Elves ridiculous.
As an electrical engineer, I find the idea of steam powered apparati (Plural apparatus!) ridiculous.
As a scholar, I find the idea of a simulated wargame ridiculous, can't we all just get along.
As a......

Get the idea?

Lets just say they're cool and move on! If we can have giant steam 'bots, I'm sure we can have magical unbreakable sword hilts as well.

Two belts hanging on a guy that thin would fall around his knees the first time he stood straight up for an overhead slash.

I know it looks cool, but as a master belt combat specialist I find it ridiculous.

I find the fact that he can run around and cut things up while wearing a gimp mask ridiculous.
