VDR was brilliant. It allowed players to use any vehicle style they wanted, but at a point penalty. As long as the model was GW and WYSIWYG it should be allowed. If you in particular didn't want it in the game, then you can always say no if a VDR vehicle is going to be played. THATS WHY IT'S AN OPTION! It should exist, even if some people don't want it in their games. Remember, with VDR you can always say no! So why not let it return?

well tbf they something pretty similar in Apoc (even though I dont play it) with the whole data sheet thing etc. Tbf would be nice to see it back again as it was an awesome system and I really miss my Gatling Railgun Hammerhead (Imagine a giant gatling gun made out of railguns ) in all fairness though it did lead to some imbalances in the game but that was always the reason that you could just say no.

All honesty I would like to see VDR go even further with Character Creation. The abbitity to make a dude with stats and special rules and stuff to have a really customizable hero unit.

Even a special Rules Maker that gets an increased cost for making it effect the wholeunit, and even more for 'within 12 inches' and having Feel No Pain change based on the number of wounds the guy has, and stuff like that. lol it would be great!

Or imagine a tank with Gatling Mega Earthshakers!

Anyway, the VDR were great fun and we need them back for friendly games. Plus, it's a great guide for custom Apoc Vehicles and applying a reasonable point cost.

More VDR/ Monstrous Creature-DR/ Anything-DR is always good.
