i like the look and all the names! always is a god feel to it. If i were you then maybe grab a DIFFERENT tank maybe? Battle tanks are nice mulch most infantry don't have the guard codex with me, but the poison hellhound is good, and the melta one is good i think it is a melta thing. 3 tanks is nice but in 1850 you could have at least 3-4. infantry is good, but can just feed your opponent kill points. Nids will have a field day charging you. infantry butchery. so if you disagree with me, totaly ok but this is just my opinion on guard, and also a valkyrie are NICE.

Don't due boredome its a mass murderer!

I like the list overall, nice to see someone running something other than mech.

However, I do notice you dont have much anti-tank (autocannons are great for light vehicles) or anti AV 14. You've only got 2 lascannons in the list that can do anything to it.

On that note, why do the two scout sentinels have camo netting? Unless you plan on having them make their scout moves and sit in terrain or something it seems like a waste of 40pts.

Extra Armor on russes is something I've been debating as well. That way they can still move around when shaken.

again, overall I like this list: itll really hurt infantry lists (blob squads, most orks, etc) but I think if you hit a list with more than 2 AV 14 vehicles, you may have problems.

Just a thought

Nice theme. I'm somewhat skeptical of your infantry squads, though. Why the heavy bolters when autocannons are almost always better? Also, you seem very light on anti-tank. This army has no melta weapons and only four lascannons, two of which are on easy-to-destroy Sentinel platforms; though the autocannons and to a lesser extent the grenade launchers will help somewhat against Rhino rushes, you seem horribly vulnerable to Land Raiders or even Leman Russes.

O H I am in the Webway...

This army feels very 4th edition, not a bad thing though.

Night Shroud Primeris is a great idea. Maybe creed since he would really shine in a foot army?

My biggest concern right off the bat is anti-armor. I truly love the theme of the army btw seems very French Legon esk... idk lol.

My one concern from the vets is that I assume they are a counter assault unit since they have no chimera, so their demo charge might be used very close to your gunline and a bad scatter... Their role for flamer counter assault is a good one though!

I would swap all the heavy bolters to autocannons in the list and maybe auto HWT to las but thats an expensive choice. This will increase your anti-armor firepower and your overall ability to kill people imho. Your squads would be great blobbed just because of Bring it Down! getting you a lot of anti-infantry TL shots. Also FRF SRF would be nice with those blobbed squads.

With the PCS I might give them meltaguns for your main solution to aggressive armor or maybe give them flamers. I personally think that plasma is risky in small squads but if you like it keep it.

A very good idea for anti-armor would be to swap some sentinels and the hellhound for two devildogs for their melta-cannons and that could really be your anti-armor staple.

I personally like naked LRBT, but if you like the side sponsons and the EA go for it. I would recommend a HHF though, the lascannon is one lucky BS3 shot a turn maybe so I don't really like it. If you like the range keep them but I personally also like the Demolisher LR for it's amazing cannon. It hurts so much and makes 2+ save models fear you even more. Maybe even have a LR Exterminator for the amazing 5 PC shots a turn? Even Eradicator for the cover save ignoring nova cannon would be a good choice. All in all though a LRBT standard won't do you wrong.

Even consider getting some Medusas for anti-tank.

A bit on the fluff for this army may explain some of my choices. This is an Imperial Guard regiment raised and equipped on Ultramar. Therefore they're armed with weapons that would primarily be seen with Space Marines. Hence the preference for heavy bolters over autocannons. Fluffwise the regiment also specializes in urban assaults. The flamer-equipped veterans act as the vanguard for the rest of the infantry, clearing the way with their flamers and melta bombs. Anyway, here's the revised list:

O H I am in the Webway...

Because of the fluff i'll have to say not a bad army. I'd still advise to try and fit some meltas in but otherwise it sounds like a good project. The lascannons will help you a lot to take down those vehicles while FRFSRF on blobbed squads will be a ton of las shots.

My main question is on the Heavy Weapon Teams. If I equip them with autocannons I can add a fourth team and have an extra fifteen points for something (even though I have no idea what). Any thought?

Interesting.

However, I would replace that MoO with an officer of the fleet or astropath, depending on if you plan to outflank with the scout sentinels or not.

Still, nice list. You could always take another ratling with 10 out of those 15 leftover points. Then give someone melta bombs for the remaining 5.

So does that mean that you think the four squads of autocannons are better than the three squads of lascannons?

Me personally? I like lascannons mainly due to their AP2 and hurting of MCs (too many nids here), but autocannons can fire twice as many shots, and can be used to slow down infantry groups as well as light armor.

I wouldnt mind having both in the list, but thats just me.

If I were you though, I'd probably stick with the lascannons, as a lot of people are bound to be bringing more 2+ saves than 4+. Plus they can draw fire away from your tanks/sentinels. People see lascannons as a huge threat to their armor (and for good reason)

Definitely switch over to autocannons on the heavy weapon squads-- those will provide a great way to pop transports.
