Looking for pictures of the pre-heresy precursor to the Stormbolter, the Combi-Bolter.

They dont make those for Chaos yet do they? Ive never seen a picture of one, but I always imagined the barrels are over-under like all other combi weapons.

Scratch that, the old terminators have combi bolters and they pretty much look like storm bolters. I just rememberd that

I'm afraid GIYF on this one. I've managed to source a few pictures but they're largely fan interpretations and not from a canon source. There's probably a picture or two in the Collected Visions but I don't have that book. Yet.

I have a few more images of Chaos stuff on my other hard drive. I will have a look and see what I can dredge up.

I think the key is to make it look more like 'two bolters strapped together" and less like the fully integrated Stormbolter of 'today'.

I keep trying to find some artwork, maybe from the Horus Heresy card game...

No luck so far...

i know this is way off topic but did anyone else notice while reading Battle for the Abyss that they mention the Word Bearers firing STORMBOLTERS ?

Anyway ive got collected visions laying around here ill see if i can scrounge up a pic of a combibolter for ya

Sadly, stuff like that happens a lot in BL's books.

Seems like editorial/proofreading went out the door along with playtesting...

Have you tried sniffing around B&C ("All Spehss Mehreenz, All the time! Hurr!") For some pics? If there's anywhere you'll find some shots of a PH Combibolter, it's probably there.

Don't Chaos Terminators carry Combi-Bolters?

I think the old ones do. The new ones have Storm Bolters I think. That or the Combi Bolter and Storm Bolter supposedly look identical now

The current Chaos Terminators have Combi-Bolters. And yes, they basically look like Storm Bolters.

Gross. I much preferred the "2-bolters-stuck-together" look.
