So, an imminent house move has caused me to shelve my plans for new armies and take a fresh look at what I already have.

Although I have 3000pts of sisters/WH, its all stuff that's been put together at random over a few years and has never been particularly successful, so I figure for the cost of a couple of new units I'll try and breathe some life into the old girl(s)

It looks like a decent list the only things I would change are:


Drop the 8x Retributors for another Exorcist its a far better unit and it saves 22 points.

Next drop all the VSS, what is 1 extra str3 attack going to do for you? And a Str 3 PW attack is worth gak.

That frees up 14pt a squad and another 10 for the PW

Melta Bombs on the Canonness but no jump pack? Get rid of them. 5 pt saved

Total savings: 107pt NICE!

Now what to do with these points?

How about an allied DH Inquisitor with 3 x Mystics, 2 X sage, a Pyscannon, and Auspex.

Then toss an Auspex on the cannoness,

for a total of 107pts!

I think you are almost there but your a bit off. It's sad my desktop broke because I had some sick sisters Immolator lists I could have shown you... O well.

The list overall looks decent, but there is one shining beacon of fail atm. A PW on the 1st BSS. That will do absolutely nothing in assault. Sisters are like WS3 ST3 right? I know ST3 but that thing will rarely be useful.

Right off the bat I will suggest running an immolator horde. It is the nastiest most downright evil army out there. My deathwing cry when I face sisters, but mass flamers and meltas is my bane, along with just about every army. http://www.yesthetruthhurts.com/2008/12/sisters-of-battle-immo-spam.html <-- that is basically what it looks like.

I would cry if I had to face that anywhere. Meltas and flamers galore... It's nasty. Don't forget mass faith rending and invuln saves = b$*% for my terminators really.

Right now is looks like suped up rhino rush which is a nasty tactic... I got owned versing some guy who used it on my Deathwing. My one suggestion would be to downgrade the Canonness to a palatine and take two of them, drop a sisters squad, and grab two celestine squads with meltas. Then run your troop sisters 2x melta.

O god I just realized. NO BOSL! Take it and spam it for the love of the emperor!!!!!! You need it. Now. NOW.

The dominions are good. The exorcists are ok. My main problem is your retributors. I personally think that they only belong in foot sisters. I would swap them for more Battle Sisters or IST's in a immo or another dominion or celestine squad. So basically get rid of them : P

Good list overall. Good spread of meltas etc. For sure you need BosL. BosL.

As far as Retributors go, I think I may drop them just because my regular opponents are so terrified of the carnage they cause that they no longer get past turn one. The last 3 games I have played they have been the priority target...

So if I drop the foot elements and add book and a third exorcist it looks like this:

Leaving me 164 points to pay for a delivery system for the Canonness. What would be the best thing? Celestians in a transport or to give the Canoness a Jump pack and a squad of Seraphim?

Or should I drop the third exorcist to give me 300points for something tasty?

Why not give the canoness a jump pack and replace the blessed weapon with an eviscerator? Tank killing goodness!

For 250pts (iirc) you can have 2 of the following:

Canoness - inferno pistol, eviscerator, cloak of st aspira, jump pack.

For the 16 points left over, you can take the mantle of ophelia for one of them.

The only thing i'd be worried about with this approach is that they will be the only foot troops you have on the table and, hence, a little exposed. You'll need to keep them close to your transports to deny los and give them cover saves. With a 2+ armour save and immunity to instant death, they are pretty tough anyways.

I usually just run one of these in my sisters army, and they are a nightmare for an opponent with their 18" assault range and ability to take out any tank in the game!

I agree with some allies. I think you should use a Land Raider for some proper armoured transport, and use it to transport an Inquisitor as Clthomps pointed out. Although lose a few henchmen.
