Yesterday my Guardsmen had a resounding victory against an army filled with bloodletters. I attribute this to plain dumb luck and I'm worried about the next confrontation. My army is very infantry heavy (non-mech) and bristling with autocannons and Lascannons. The next game will be 1k pts and I am allowed to add only 250 to my list. The core 750 is fixed and I may not change it (escilation league). any tips? what should I add?

2000 pts SoB.

Bloodletters are great. Probably your opponent should have stuck them in cover and gone to ground. T4 plus a 3+ cover save can soak up lots of wounds.

It might help to see your list, you'll get better advice that way.

If they were fielding tons of BLetters without much else, that is to be expected. They have poor saves and as such, need to be screened or have some good terrain to take advantage of. Watch out for PlagueBearers if you're using a lot of standard guard as they will have problems getting through the Invul/FnP.
