The below unit is to be used in conjuction wth fatewaver, as a bodyguard & firesupport. I think with its T4, 5W, eternal warriors & a 4+ re-rollable armor save, I think they are pretty damn hardy. Not too shabby at shooting either Herald of Tzeentch +Chariot of Tzeentch +Breath of choas =95pts Possible additional extras +Master of sorcery +We are legion =110pts and finally, as a standard infantry assaulter (no better than WS4) +soul devourer. =130pts WS2 BS4 S3 T4 W5 I4 A4 LD10 4+sv Fearless, furious charge, demonic gaze, Jetbike. Str4 I5 on the charge with 5A, power weapon attacks if it has soul-devourer. I know it may sound strange.. but assaulting a WS4 squad is fine, it wouldnt make much differance between WS4 & WS2; with furious charge (demonic gaze, breath) and its 5 power weapon attacks (with the optional soul dev) I think its quite effective. Yes a prince can do this better but at much greater cost. The primary idea, possibly okayish assulting ability aside, is that it is extremely resilient. Thoughts?

You've got a 130 point model there. Does it work as well as an 85 point khornate chariot?
I dunno, having run them, I think tzeentch chariots are best when left dirt-cheap at 65 points, shooting gaze each turn from a distance.

I usually run a tzeentch chariot in one of two configurations:
Bolt, master of sorcery - 100 points
Gun platform, stays away at a distance. Good for light vehicle hunting.
Breath, master of sorcery, soul devourer - 120 points
Good for hunting the enemy backfield, particularly at engaging units like devastators, etc. Fly in, breath, shoot, charge. When I'm running two heralds in chariots in tandem, they both do reasonably well.
Compared to the Khornate chariot, they're obviously not as good in HTH. But the Tzeentch Chariot can turbo-boost, which is another major plus.

The other chariots are slow & pointless. While bloodcrushers are slow, they can survive long enough to get there. Tzeentchy chariots are shooting from the off & with that improved invunerable save & that many wounds, its a fairly tough unit - lots more so with fateweaver.
With bolt, sorc & gaze.. fairly shooty too! I guess I like the BoC too much...
thanks for the feedback.

I tried adding we are legion, but ultimately found that it was less useful than (with two of them) 20 points spent somewhere else.

Yeah, I guess. While he can split his fire.. the things bolt should be aiming at should be the transports..which the gaze can help out with most of the time aswell.
Shiny upgrades - I must resist them. I blame Slaanesh.

Oh it can be useful. The question is it more useful than adding a body to a squad of horrors, with the extra wound, 3 shot/turn, and more resilient scoring unit? Most of the time, no (for me at least).
