Hello,
I have only just started painting for the first time,
Just GamesWorkshop so far and I am getting all of my painting lesson's
from White Dwarf issue 351. I have not done anything beyond inking at
the moment except for the Ork's skin from the RokkitBoyz Pack.

I am doing a Bad Moonz paint scheme, but I am unsure as to what color
clothing to do. As I do not have the appropiate paint's available for use.

Since I cannot take picture's here is what I have done so far,
Shoulder Pad's, Front end of the Rokkits, Helmet, Boot's & Buckles on Pants have
all been painted in Yellow and inked using a 50/50 Badab Black & Delvin Mud...
Pistol & Chainsword have been done in Boltgun Metal With Bullets in Yellow and parts
of the Chainsword in Yellow. Rokkit Pack has been painted in Boltgun Metal with 50/50
Dark Flesh & Vermin Brown on exhaust pipe's & small detail's...
All Ork Glyphs have been done in Yellow as well...

I would like to do mostly a dark grey for the clothing with various detail's in a brown'ish color.
Since I have access to only Gw Paint's please refer to them only...

It is my first week of painting and I am please with the results, as soon as I can afford it I will
be buying a digital camera and uploading the various images of my miniature's... Although I do
not know when I can do that...

Thank you for your time and please help.

Codex Grey and then a coat of badab black wash should look good with the yellow. It will end up as a dark grey with some nice texture. You can go over the high areas with codex grey again if you want to lighten it up, but it shouldnt be necessary. If it is too light, give it a second coat of badab black wash.

Welcome to dakka too! Usually you wont get many responses in a painting and modeling thread without pictures so look towards getting a camera if you want more feedback

Hello,
Thank you for the reply.
I will hopefully be getting a Digital camera some time this month or during August. By then I should have a few miniatures completed instead of one... Any suggestions on a good cheap digital camera?

My Girlfriend, honestly has the best camera in the world. It's a metal purple color. Made by Lumix.
It's a couple yrs old but the Macro thing is superb. You may be able to find one on amazon.com
But find a camera that has a Macro feature. ie, the little flower icon for close up pics, and test it if there's a demo model in the store you go to buy your camera at.

good luck painting! If some figs don't come out the way you wish they were, don't worry! You'll get better as you keep painting minis.

YO DAKKA DAKKA!

Looks neat enough, but I can't tell what the colours are supposed to be. Phone- and webcams are generally terrible for showing off your paintwork. Ask at your local gaming store (or GW) if they have a camera and could take some photos for you, or try to borrow one.
