Just curious what people consider the default game size for MKI WM by the player population in general. Not what you like or prefer but what do you or people you see/know play as the standard default game size. When someone says "lets play WM" what is the first number that pops into your head as standard?

At my LGS, 750 is the norm. When I start playing again, I might do 500 though.

Whats with the limit of two choices. Some places are at 1000 as standard.

We waver between 500 and 750. Its up-in-the air enough that you definitely have to clarify it before you start pulling out models.

Monthly Tournaments are anywhere from 350 to 750 to odd formats like 16 VPs Mangled Metal.

Some people/places play 1000 or bigger from time to time, I would bet no place/group plays 1000pts. as their default game size...

750 is standard tournament size IIRC, lots of people still play 500 (tournament size pre Apotheosis). I play 350 for games for people getting into the hobby. Hordes aside I rarely play MkI I play MkII at 35 points but I may jump to the next size up.

500 points due to time constraints (you can easily fit 2 500 point games in a single
evening so long as you're not screwing around).

750, 7 minute turns

The game is a blast under such conditions - no fiddling around just go for it; the clock is ticking! This doesn't work when learning an army of course, but it's a cool way to play that keeps the game fresh once you've got your rules down.

We usually play at 750 for my group. Just seems to be the best option since most of us like using our epic casters. Also been playing alot of MK II at 35, we tried a tournament around the rules at 50 and the games lasted way too long.

That all depends on how new the players are and how established the game is at your FLGS.

When we started a drive to get new people active in WM at our new FLGS, 350 was the standard games size for more than a couple months.

Likewise, there are a few guys I know who would love it if our standard games were 1000 pts. They can also play large games fast, so time is not an issue.

Agreed, but none of that is what I'm aking. The question is what is the generally accepted/assumed default game size as pertains to the global WM community. When i go to play 40k with a new group or at a new store I write up a 1500 and a 2000pt army. I wouldn't show up with a 1485 or a 2175 army and expect that people had those lists written up and ready to go. Games have generally accepted default game sizes, and I'm curious what the assumption is by the WM player community. I think the evidence is for 750 based upon what i have seen in multiple states and multiple gaming groups, stores and events, but I am curious to see if this holds up elsewhere...
