Alright guys so right now i'm trying to decide what HQ to run in this list.

HQ: ?

Troops:
10x Khorne Berzerkers
1x Skull Champ

10x Khorne Berzerkers
1x Skull Champ

10x Khorne Berzerkers
1x Skull Champ

Heavy Support:
3x Land Raider
3x Havoc Launcher

Alright I'm not sure which HQ to run in this list. Right now i'm giving all the Skull Champs PF and im sitting at 1470. I have to shave some points...depending on the HQ i can take off a Skull Champ and the PF saving myself some points and just attaching the HQ to the unit. I wanted to go with Khorne but hes 165 points Plus its bad to attach him to a unit. I like keeping all of my Units inside the LR as long as possible. What do you guys think i should do? Right now i have a random Chaos Lord for 90 Points but he doesnt really fit with the theme.

I dont want to break this army list apart. It might not be the greatest for winning but its been amazing so far and i love the idea of the LR. I just kicked the gak out of reg. Space Marines 7-0 on a 1500 point game.

Hmm i can only think of 2 hq choices chaos lord MoK daemon weapon. Or daemon prince MoK. So either a lord who could kill himself or a bolter fire magnet. Kharn sounds thd best though.

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, its just a freight train coming your way!

For HQ purposes drop a Berzerker and add Kharne. He is amazing for only 165 points and has a pretty low chance of killing your own guys. I'd also consider dropping a LR or maybe 2 for Rhino's and adding some AP weapons. Dropping one LR and hiding the Rhino behind them would allow it to stay pretty safe and save you 225 points. With a Berzerker gone (20) and the 30 you already are under you'd have 275 points. Now with Kharne added you'd have 110 points to play with. O'd also drop Havoc Launchers from the LR. If your moving 12" you can't fire. If you move 6 you'll want to shoot a Lascannon. So that's 30 more if you keep one on a Rhino. You can do alot with 140 points. Maybe some plasma pistols or 4 bikes with 2 meltas for tank hunting.

If i take Kharne, he would have to be out of the LR. How well do you think he would survive? Also, what should i drop to make up the 165 pts for him?

Also, do not take a Daemon Weapon for a Lord or DP with Mark of Khorne. 1/3 of the time he will be sitting there doing nothing.

Thanks for the advice i did think about dropping LR but, i just love the idea. I'm going to be keeping all 3. I would love Kharne its just tough figuring out what to drop.

The only reason i have the havoc launchers on there is for some anti ork/nid horde armies. yeah its only a little blast but its still nice.

The little blast is nice, but still the LR has twin linked heavy bolters. Against T3 4+ save or more guys you are generally looking at 3 dead. A Havok launcher will probably cover 5 max (being generous) and still have the risk of scattering. Plus, it doesn't have the nice ap 4 or twin linked. All I'm saying is that its and easy 45 points back to drop them.

I guess if you did that and kicked off a few Berzerkers you could get Kharne. Still that's about half a squad.

Alright i just did some calculating. If i take each Zerker unit down to 8, i can add Kharne and still have all the goodies on my skull champs (PF). i would then be setting it around 1480 or so.

Also, could i attach Kharne to a unit inside a LR and when i unload them, could i detach Kharne and send him assaulting by himself?

Sounds pretty sketchy and cheap haha.

If you declare detaching Kharne at the beginning of the phase or something I think you can assault him out by himself. Which is crucial.

Yeah Kharne 100%. He's a maniac.
