You roll two dice when you roll attack or damage. If you don't like the result, you can spend
a fury to roll the boosted die (assuming you didn't get it already from, say, a charge) and
add that to your original total.

Right, normally you must boost the roll before you roll it.

Future Sight lets you see the result of the non-boosted roll before you decide to boost it.

It lets you save fury.

Hmm...
I suppose that always getting a free boost would be even better. However, Future Sight and abilities like it are commonly considered to be some of the best in the game.

Think about it. The most uncontrollable aspect of the game is luck. No matter how you play or build your lists, luck will mess up your plans eventually. The ability to minimize the negative impact of luck is an incredible asset. This ability allows you to capitalize on good luck and minimize the impact of bad luck. That is huge in this game.

Well a free boost would definitely be better, but I wouldn't call it a stinky ability.

Epic Skarre has a similar ability, I can tell you from experience that it is an excellent ability as it allows you to 'save' the Fury you would have spent boosting if you roll well.

I am both selfish and instinctive. I value growth and community, as long as they favour my own objectives; I enjoy nature, and I particularly enjoy watching parts of nature die. At best, I am resilient and tenacious; at worst, I'm uncontrollable and destructive.

And Future Sight is a lot better because Fury is readily available, whereas Seas of Fate (awesome name for an ability, btw) still needs you to allocate focus.
