What color scheme do you use to paint salamanders? That is, in terms of GW paints.

I've looked at a bunch of pics but being colorblind it's tough for me to tell. I /think/ It's Dark Angels Green with shoulder pads and knees in black. But I can't tell what color is used for the highlight and such.

I believe that DA Green is took dark. I think they are done with Snot Green with highlights of Scorpion, and they have black shoulder pads, a black backpack, and their left knees are black.

I have a full salamander army and I use a privateer press paint Iosian green. It should be the same as goblin green I think. I have also used the Army Painter green skin army primer as a base coat then doused them in green ink to get the shade I was looking for.

I have seen some salamanders in DA green but they do look too dark. I am more of a fan of the vibrant color on their power armor.

GW paints would be Snot Green over Chaos Black primer, with Chaos Black shoulder pads.

snot green straight over black primer can be a pain to paint...
i do a layer of dark angels green first, then pretty much cover that completely with snot green...
edge highlights are done with pure scorpion green...

Does this look about right for a Salamander? What else should be done if it's not quite there.

Some flame marking on shoulder or knee pad, and its 100% good to go.

or a white dragon head decal.

The rims of the shoulder pads should be the same colour as the body.

The easiest way to paint them is:
Basecoat of Knarloc Green
Paint entire model Snot Green
Wash with Thraka green
Highlight with scorpion green.
