I do not know if you guys saw this but a new mechwarrior game is coming out!

As a huge fan of battletech i am very excited. As it was Mechwarrior 2 that got me into the miniature hobby. Either way the video is badass!

Thanks for posting the video! There's already a thread in the video games section here, though.

After seeing this video, I for one, am excited!

oh never noticed the video game forum, but none the less I figured some people probably do not always look there.

How many rads did that pilot acquire parachuting right back down into the fallout/mushroom from his own reactor?

His kids are gonna have a third nipple...

Rads? The guy's gonna be a fine powder from the heat and force alone. That's an out of control fusion reaction he's falling into.

All that reimagining for the Warhammer and it still has the same awful arm configuration as the Macross Excalibur, without the internal missile bays. Ah well. The Atlas looks nice though.

Having watched the video: the game-play is kind of weird, but the environment is beautiful. I wonder how many tons and slots that little spy-satellite is....?

Macross had the Destroid Tomahawk.

Excalibur is a Harmony Gold "innovation".

I stand corrected.

Probably free. Paid for with the sensor/cockpit tonnage.

I wish they would get the armament right on an Atlas one of these games. Seriously. You guys have had 20+ years that the Atlas has been around, and it has yet to be correct in any video game version that I can recall.

This game pre-dates the timeline of the current series of Mechwarrior games so it is either a reboot or a prequel?

Note that the other games had pilots eject in pods.. maybe this unfortunate soul was the reason this innovation took place.

Well given that it's an ejection system designed to get the pilot AWAY from a core explosion....it doesn't seem to get the job done very well. Maybe some sort of LATERAL thrust during ejection would help?
