I like wendys best for the burger places, the food just seems higher quality, if that's even possible in fast food. But the top of my list for all fast food kind of places is probably Qdoba. Great big burritoy goodness!

I hate to say it, but probably McDonalds. I know what I'm getting when I go there and there are so many that I can easily find one. I would say Wendy's, but I've gotten a minor case of food poisoning there twice, but their burgers are soooo tasty.

We just got a Culvers in town last month or so. How good is it?

I would also like to point out that I have never had a bad burger from Backyard Burger. Even after their largest burger I instantly want another one.

Oh here's a burger place I didn't list because I don't know if it's fast food per se, you order it then they make it so you gotta wait. But there's a place around here called 5 Guys, they make awesome burgers and really good homemade fries, and that's all that's on the menu

I wanna open a burger joint one day, and I'll prolly be stealing most of their ideas

I know we're talking about FAVORITE fast foods here, but I'd like to take just a second to extend a middle digit at a former favorite of mine...

TACO BELL

For those of you that might say "no way! I love my burrito supremes" lemme explain my reasoning.

I have loved Taco Bell since I was old enough to ride a bike and choose my own method of defiling my health. I am almost a carnivore and the BEEF burrito (discontinued circa 1998 or so) was always my favorite. Now there are other tasty items to be had for sure, but over the years I have realised something.

Rice, and to a lesser extent beans, are being pushed into menu items more and more in order to save on the amount of actual MEAT being served in those Items.

If you go to Taco Bell, and order anything that is "Double Beef _______" You will generally find that the only thing "Double" about the item is that there are two main ingredients beef (generally about 2oz) and then rice (Tons)...this pisses me off. If I'm biting into a "Double Beef Volcano Burrito" the SOUND of that item insists that every bite should be filled with animal fleshy deathy goodness. When instead I bite in and almost the entire burrito save a small pocket at the end are filled with rice cheese and tortilla....WTF? TWO BITES WITH ACTUAL MEAT? Whats "Double Beef" about this abomination?

Now, I used to be able to satisfy my cravings for the old defunct standby...the BEEF burrito...(tortilla, beef, onions, cheese, and red sauce...sort of hard to rob someone of a beefy treat when thats all that is in there) but a problem has arisen as of late. I don't know if its new employees just not knowing how to do it or if they're instructed NOT to, but I'm finding an increasing amount of stores are not allowing me to order a BEAN burrito and replace the BEANS with MEAT (at an extra charge of course). This infuriates me as this extinct item was always my favorite. Meat and cheese...thats all I want, with onions and red for flavor.

I can only attribute this problem to a ravenous hunger that Taco Bell itself has...for profits. Meat is obviously more expensive than rice, and since rice FIRST started making its way into menu Items (grilled stuft burritoes) its now seriously making its way into more and more items making those items more impressive looking (rice is cheap and can be used to make a menu item HUGE, again, using the stuft burritoes as an example) and therefore....more expensive. Often, with the promise of "Double Beef____"

Basically, I have stopped going to this chain for the most part. If I DO wind up having to go I restrict my choice to a basic meal of 3 taco's value meal....passable for a meat-type entree. Other than that...my "taco-meat fix" is for the most part no longer a "fast food" option being restricted to home cooking now for a "Beef Burrito" proper.

Go to Hell Taco Bell....you've killed my favorite thing about you.

"THE BIG MONTANA"

That used to be Taco Bell's money. I hope they're suffering heavily from the recession.

Your first mistake in this writeup is assuming that was BEEF you were getting.

Whatever that meat WAS, it was GREAT!

Not so good when you get a teaspoon of it in a ginormous stuft burrito.

I'm also not a fan of taco bell anymore for the very same reason. I was just like you, only I'd opt for the chicken burrito. chunks of "chicken" bitz in some kinda red saucey stuff. I went there one day and ordered my usual order, 2 mexi melts and a chicken burrito.. and they were like "do you want it fiesta style or wahtever" and I had no idea what they were talking about.. so I ended up with a rice burrito with 3 little chicken chunks inside. that was the last time I ever went there, and why I love the newer burrito places like Baja Fresh or Qdoba. They give ya lots of meat, and you can actually see the little mexican guy grilling it too

McDonalds for reliability, I can go anywhere in the world and know what I'll be ordering is pretty close to everywhere else.

Currently though Oportos for chilli chicken burgers (and great fries) and Subway are regulars for me.
