could you loot a broadside and remove the broadside head and put like a grot with his head and arms sticking out, just an idea i like it and think i should try it for my first ever conversion

Sounds doable enough. Grots always bring character and comedic relief. Post some pics once you've got it started.

Unless you want it to look like a POJ conversion, you'll have to add a lot more Orky features than just a grot sitting where the head should be. Major battle damage, replaced limbs of the mech, ork weaponry and added plate, neglected paint job and poor maintenance. That sort of stuff.

I've seen these looted by Kroot before, so definitely doable for Orks

ill give it a big shoota keep a broadside cannon thing give it a buzz saw and some rockits, lots of dust, bullet holes and stuff it might take a while before i start because of school and stuff but as soon as i start ill put some pics up

I seem to recall a conversion of this nature here a while ago. It was a crisis battlesuit with a grot's head sticking out the top.

Ive seen similar ideas done before. If executed well, it looks really cool. If not, it looks like a tau suit, with a grot ontop. Not very cool lol

Is it just to look cool? - if so, arm it any way you like. But if you'll be playing with it, work out what ork unit it will count as - an ork dredd being the obvious choice - and arm it accordingly.

Awesome as, but i think mine will be a dread or a really awesome warboss with lots o bioniks but as my first ever conversion it might take a while until i get started

Put one of the railguns in one of it's hands so it can use it as a club. Or maybe give it a more sharpened look so it can act as a choppa. Also replacing parts instead of trying to make the whole thing look looted will look better. Those legs look far too fragile to last long while used by an Ork. They'd most likely ripp them off then replace them with something a little more sturdier looking, maybe some Dreadnought legs.

i think im getting the assault on black reach set and i might just as a start and to get the hang of converting i might convert the space marine dread in there before i do the broadside
