The Dark Eldar FAQ actually addresses this, if the WWP is surrounded (they can't stand on it) by enemy models then it is considered blocked to any non-skimmer, jetbike, jump troop dark eldar unit. Any unit on the ground that would come through the portal is stuck and must wait for the area to be cleared.

That was a point of contention from the day the DE DEX was released. I'm just glad it only took 13 years for GW to clarify in the FAQ what happened. Good thing it went the way I always claimed otherwise I'd be returning a whole lot of RTT prizes.

I don't think it is idiotic. Skimmers could always fly over other models. Coming out of a WWP never changed that.

No, I think it is idiotic that a 50 point piece of wargear can be nullified by filling a Webway Portal with units...the bummer of having a FAQ that contrasts with fluff.

Note that you can't FILL the WWP. You must surround it. Easy solution: Take skimmers with Torture Amps, and Tank shock the WWP clear.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.
