I currently have a small Imperial fists army and I like the Inquisition and how you can Mix the units up and have Inquisition units in a Space Marine army and vice versa. My Long term plan is to be able to field a space marine army, a small Imperial Guard Army and enough of those two and Inquisition troops to field an Inquisition army (Most likely Witchhunters, but I may get some GK's). So, I have ordered a Demonhunter Inquisitor, I feel they look more generic so will be able to fit in any army. Esspiecially as he will be converted.

My Imperial fists are based on a kind of black ash base, so the rest of the forces will be themed to be on an ash waste. The Guardsmen themselves will be using the Winter Pig Iron heads, with sculpted great coats and gloves so that they look like they are in a cold, yet harsh environment, kind aiming towards a cross between the steel legion and the Valhallan's. So, that just leave the look for the Inquistorial/Guard Stormtroopers, any suggestions?

Suggestions?! Nope, sounds like you pretty much got it all figured out. Your ideas sound pretty good to me also. Get some test minis done and show them suckers off!

To start with, if the figure is modelled with the war gear, there is nothing wrong with using an Inquisitor figure as one of your Space Marine HQ choices - use the SM stats (for a Captain, Librarian or Chaplain) and have him attached to your force.

Alternatively, Witches etc can join as allies as per the Codex.

use the old style storm troopers as opposed to the new kasrkin (well not new kasrkin) theyre nice models, plus they look like they got more padding for a colder enviroment. theyre helmets also look like pigirony ones. ish.

have them as the inquisitors personal bodyguard

I recently received my Inquisitor model, the one with the Romanesque armour, the bolt pistol and the sword. I have decided that will be the theme for my Stormtroopers, I will try to mimic the armour very closely on the stormtroopers. The plan so-far is...

Cadian torso for the armoured chest
Tau legs for the thigh armour, replaced with Cadian boots so that the legs are human looking
Cadian arms, with the shoulderpads rebuilt to look like the shoulder armour of the Inquisitor
Guns rebuilt to look a little more hightech than the Cadian ones

Only thing is, I am not sure what to do with the helmets, to make it look like the inquisitor

It is very ambitious... are you going to buy these are bits (from the warstore or another source, perhaps?) to save some $$$?

Excellent idea... I'm not too sure what to suggest about the helmets, though! Maybe some others have good ideas for them

I was thinking of buying a box of Cadians and then getting all the other bits from a site like bitzbox or something, should be quite affordable. I also decided what to use for the heads though not sure if they are in scale, and that piece is, the black templar Knightly looking helmets

Will have to knab one off of a friend to have a look.
