Good day to you all. My name is Dennis Michels, and I was directed to DakkaDakka by a fellow 40k gamer, who doesn't have a profile here but highly recommends this site to everyone.

Anyway, I am building my 5th Ed Ork army, and have found the Ork Tactica articles very helpful and informative. I have a little over 2000pts assembled and most are awaiting a paint job. My ultimate goal is to build a take all comers list from my Waaagh, which will be built for Apocalypse(Stompas and Battlewagons, etc). I have great fun playing Orks, I remember the days from 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th edition where Orks were viewed as the fun army, not much of a "winning" army. Now in 5th edition it seems I can build a proper Waaagh and start conquering the galaxy!!!

In addition, I am also retooling and rebuilding my Space Marine army from 4th Edition. I created my own chapter, which was scoffed at in 3rd and 4th edition when the Red Rage was all the rage, and wolves were the cool marines, etc. Now, with the new codex it seems custom chapters are the order of the day.

Anyway, I look forward to reporting my battles and joining in the discussions.

OK, I did it...

In spite of sounding cheesy, I finally made up my mind and went to Forgeworld and ordered the Warboss on Bike based largely on the article in Tactica on this site.

I had been hemming and hawing over making my own scratch build version, and even read a few articles and came up with a few sketches, but in the end the Forgeworld version is seriously cool.

Anyway, thanks for the advice Dakka Dakka!!!!
