I was reading the rules for Kayvaan Shrike in the Space Marine Codex. One of his special abilities is that he causes all units in his army exchange Combat Tactics for the special Fleet rule. Space Marine Bike Squads have the Combat Tactics special rule, so can they Fleet if Shrike is in the army? I looked in the rules section for Bikes and it says they cannot run, but would this preclude them from Fleeting given the Shrike rule?

Yes i think they can as long as you take Shrike of course!

That makes for some interesting possibilities then!

P: Fleet = run + assault
P: run = 0
C: assault = 0

If you can't run, youre also not assaulting after running.

The bikes will gain Fleet, yes. It's of absolutely no use to them but they gain it.

In case you're still using 3rd/4th edition Fleet you may want to open your BRB page 75 and check what Fleet does.

moondrakken is the only bike that can run

Ok, I see; Fleet cannont exist independantly of Run so Fleet without Run does nothing for the unit.
