Somewhere in the unknown universe.

Why do Psykers look all weird and messed up? The are all bald or deformed, or something in the 40k universe.

I know that there are normal looking psykers, so why doesn't GW model/draw them?

(I'm referring to non-space marine human psykers).

Congratulations, that was the stupidest remark the entire wargaming community has managed to produce in a long, long time.

Congratulations, your dismissive and conclusory commentary has provided nothing to this discussion or the wider community on whose behalf you arrogantly presume to speak nor does it engage in any meaningful way the remark it lamely targets. But you did manage to gain experience points toward your next level of internet tough guy.

thats a great point. hmm at a guess it could be that you might not recognise them otherwise? especially in game terms. if there was a guy in a squad whos bald and deformed, you might think, hey thats a psyker, whereas if they looked normal it might be hard to point em out. oh, also having to concentrate NOT to spawn daemons all day must cause premeture hair loss, and shooting bolts of purple fire from your head might singe the roots of yer hair

Sanctioned Psykers go through all sorts of procedures to make them "safe" for Imperial use. Some of these procedures seem to require augmetics for the subject to recover/survive. See your DH Core book or the Inquisitor's Handbook, especially under the mind purged origin.

I remember something about mutations coming more often together.

So having the mutation of psychic ability means your more likely to have other minor mutations, like wonky arms or a big head.

Kinda like why navigators tend to have really long bones and really weird faces...
