Just wanted to get some feedback on this list. A mate of mine put it together for me.
Said it had a bit of everything in it so it should give me a chance to win a few games with it.
What do you think. I am in the process of deciding what to buy and how much of it to buy

I'd drop the footsloggers and let the Captain lead the Assault squad.

I agree buy the cappie a jump pack and his set to go and wreak havoc!

If that's the case, maybe a chaplain with jump pack would be a better choice as your HQ?

Or a Librarian, with vortex of doom.

From the sounds of it you have not made any purchases yet, so this is the perfect time to retool the army a bit.

The dreads will take alot of fire, especially the one in the drop pod. The predators will be largely ignored because a single autocannon is a pretty low priority threat. This makes its front armor value of 13 alot less useful. Get rid of the dreadnoughts imo, or put all the tacts and the 2 dreads in pods. Doing half rhinos/half pods is strategically flawed as you basically deliver your army piece by piece, giving them a chance to deal with them as they come.

The scouts have a teleport homer, but you have nothing to use with it (only terminators teleport, others deep strike via pod/jump packs).

Alot of people find putting MM + flamer tacts in a rhino is a great option as you make a strong threat to both armor and infantry. You want these squads to stick in the rhino as long as possible while it drives up to an objective (and sits on it, since you can claim the objective from inside the rhino) or rapid fire distance. PF has the habit encouraging you to disembark from the rhino prematurely. Played well the PF is fine though. No need to leave one without a transport though, include the 3rd rhino

The captain is not kitted out in a way that uses his abilities. The reason to take a captain (not on a bike) is for his combat prowess over the chaplain or libby. The thunderhammer gives up his higher initiative and precludes giving him an additional CCW. Probably would be best to take a jump pack chappy for the assault squad in place of that captain.

The scouts have a special poison round on their heavy bolter; I always suggest the HB over the ML for the scouts. Their powerfist however is a waste because if they are in CC against a unit designed for it, they will die anyways. Also, they are meant to sit 36" away from enemy infantry and try to lock them down. They can be effective versus MCs as well, but should be from arms length. The PF encourages bad play with the scouts. It will likely be a waste of points. Scouts = 4xsniper +1xHB (with telion or camo) imo. Cheap and effective.

I guess waht I am suggesting is

-2 dreadnought
-captain
-PF,tele homer on scouts

+chappy with jump pack
+side sponsons on predators
+rhino for tacy3

that should leave you room for some more stuff. You are lacking a bit of anti-armor strength there (as the preds are anti-infantry in that setup). Some HF/MM landspeeders or MM attack bikes would fill in that gap perfectly.

Wow, thanks a motsa Dracos. I never really looked at the attack bikes as an option. I am going to take a look at a few posts and see what folks have to say about the Preds with the las canons. Just for kicks. Might be able to work some extra kick in there.

You see I have my 5 man suicide scout squad . . . 5 guys with shotguns, Sgt with a pf . . . flank march and do some nasty shock damage. Best one yet is beating a necron lord and 10 man squad of warriors in CC, and then beating them on the initiative roll . . . now that's how you get your points back =p

Try tossing them in the new landspeeder for extra lulz.

That model is uber cool . . . would be funny, and I do play for sheer comedy value =D

drop your combat scouts in front of their shootiest vehicle you can damage without too much work, powerfist it, and start shooting stuff up with the landspeeder afterward. They should live about one round, but its funny.
