For those of us who use the "auto login" deal, would this be a good idea? Just like when you continue on to the forums in the top right corner? I hope I'm illustrating my suggestion well.

I have considered it, but it wont happen for a little while yet. The PM checking requires a database hit every time someone views the page, and at the moment we are getting uncomfortably close to capacity so I am working on optimisation first and foremost instead of adding new features that increase load. The forum is logically separate from the home page stuff so it requires an extra layer of integration to work as well which makes it marginally less simple to do.
