Sons of Horus are a greenish-white, I've seen them often with green detailing as well.
Thousand Sons are Red. Plain and simple.

I know that. I have never found a good tutorial for them.Whenever I find one it is either mettalic,way to green or red or way to dark.

Sons of Horus are one of my things.
To emulate the card game and cover of Horus Rising use 60% adeptus battlegrey 40% goblin green
But I am a purist and go for the Index Astartes article and by descripitions in the book a Pale Sea Grey. Vallejo Game color makes a damn good color called Light sea grey which makes great Sons of Horus IMO
