Page 92 in the 40K rulebook in a box, half way down the page on the right. Essentially, roll a 6.

Also, the index is always a good place to start.

No prob. What drives me nuts is when I was learning the 5th edition rules I would read over something the night before a game, remember reading it and the next day during a game I can't find it when the situation comes up and we need clarification!

Normally, whoever wins the roll-off for setup gets to choose whether to go first or second. If they chose to go first, then they set up (deploy) first, and then you set up (deploy) your stuff.

The sieze the initiative roll is after both sides have deployed, but before he takes first turn. If you roll a '6', then YOU get first turn (instead of him).

It doesn't help if they win the roll and CHOOSE to go second.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

What, when your opponent chooses to go second?

Congratulations, that was the stupidest remark the entire wargaming community has managed to produce in a long, long time.

Congratulations, your dismissive and conclusory commentary has provided nothing to this discussion or the wider community on whose behalf you arrogantly presume to speak nor does it engage in any meaningful way the remark it lamely targets. But you did manage to gain experience points toward your next level of internet tough guy.

Yep, it gets kinda funny when both players want to go last instead of first.
