I'm working on my rhino and I can't figure out how to keep the rear hatch up without permanently affixing that way. Any body got any tricks theyed like to share?

The whole world's a stage, you're either an actor or a prop; it's up to you which one.

Try gluing very thin strips of sheet styrene to the sides of the hatch (in the 010 size range - around 1/4mm).

One or two strips of this (may only need one), sanded back slightly will hold it in place, yet still allow it to open and close.

That's what I did for my valkyrie (same principle for the rear door).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

That sir, is a good idea - I'm having similar issues with my Valkyrie, and wasn't looking forward to magnetising it.

Great idea. I however have gone cheap & nasty, and keep a small blob of blu-tack on the inside. Cant see it, and can easily remove it when required.

Thanks, that's a great idea

Playing devil's advocate and in no way being a d-bag: why does having a Rhino with working doors matter? Even if you paint the absurdly unrealistic level of detail, the amount of available light is pretty sparse. Are you actually making all of the doors removeable? Are you super-detailing the interior or just painting what's there?

Same with the Valkyrie really.
