I play the old 80's SF3D and SF3D II board game on occasion and was wondering if anyone here was involved with this event @ Salute 2009 about halfway down the page on the following link...
http://ilovewargameing.21.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=2221
I'm curious as to how the game was handled as I'm working on a similar thing.
Thx
Rick

Wow, those are some gorgeous pictures and lots of games I've never seen/heard of, I think!
Could you re-post or link to the pictures you're talking about, or to a link about the game? I'm not familiar with it so I couldn't find it on that page.
Thanks

The first pic in the series is this one...
the next 6 or so are of the rest of the game.
The best site with info about the game is now lost to time but you can still view it as a back up here...

Hobby Link Japan has the 1/35th scale infantry that were used in that game up for 80% off!
I just ordered 96 Infantry (48 Groundpounders, 24 scout Space Suits and 24 Assault Space Suits) for around a hundred bucks. Not bad!

Yes I've done about the same thing but I grabbed an extra box of Melusines to convert to Fliegs and Kauz space units so I can play a zero G game.
The SAFS fig are the hardest to find and I picked up a whole box of 24 on Ebay a while back. You'll also want to grab yourself a few Gladiators and keep an eye out for the rather rare 1/35 resin kits of things like Krotes (I managed to grab one of those too). Once I pick up some 30 or 40 mm bases I'll get to work and start banging out the rules using the board game as a reference point.

The Gladiators are no longer in stock at HLJ... sadly I'll have to scrounge ebay if I want them because they're no long in production.
The SAFS Achilles was a collectible? I've only seen pics of the LE Resin from Wonderfestival.
